Homebuyers in New South Wales will no longer have to pay thousands of dollars in stamp duty under a plan to be announced in the state budget next week. Premier Dominic Perrottet will finally move to phase out the dreaded tax paid to the state government by a buyer purchasing a home. One of the major reforms in the government’s final pre-election budget will be NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet’s long-held goal of overhauling stamp duty and introducing a broad-based land tax .
